Deborah with her partner founded Butterflies in September 2012 following the closure of the NSPCC's Hastings/East Sussex branch in 2011.
There appeared to be a to be a lack of both generic and specialised therapeutic services for children and young people in Hastings and surrounding areas.

Therefore, it seemed only natural for Deborah to utilise her experience, skills and knowledge to form a service that would provide a Holistic Trauma Therapeutic & Mental Health Service to children, young people and their families.
